Leopold Münzer

Summary

Leopold Münzer was a Polish pianist and educator. He competed in the inaugural International Chopin Piano Competition in 1927 and became one of the foremost concert pianists and pedagogues in interwar Galicia. He headed the piano department of the Conservatory of the Polish Music Society from 1930 to 1939 and championed contemporary Polish music, particularly the works of his friend Józef Koffler.
