Light skin

Human skin color

Light skin

Summary

Light skin is a human skin color that has a low level of eumelanin pigmentation as an adaptation to environments of low UV radiation. Due to migrations of people in recent centuries, light-skinned populations today are found all over the world. Light skin is most commonly found amongst the native populations of Europe, East Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Siberia, and North Africa as measured through skin reflectance. People with light skin pigmentation are often referred to as "white", but the majority of countries officially categorize people by ethnic or national origin and not by perceived skin tone. Furthermore, definitions and perceptions of "ethnicity" or "race" vary greatly from country to country.

Unnecessary and inaccurate bits removed to avoid misinformation.

Larryhadwin23/10/2026, 2:45:01 AM

Image removed doesn't represent the actual sin color of people in the region, is is already a very whitewashed and edited image

Larryhadwin23/10/2026, 2:39:35 AM

Inaccurate information, that picture is edited and whitewashed to manipulate people into believing that East Asians are more lighter skin than they actually are.

removed an inaccurate image that is does't accurately portrays the difference between European skin pigmentation evolution that is way more different than the biological evolution that took place among East Asians. and the source that backed the previous claim seemed to unintentionally misleading

Undid revision 1342533769 by ~2026-15217-45 (talk) I personally took the image, it was not edited. Koreans and other East Asians naturally do have light skin as documented by many sources in the article. This image should not be taken down again.

~2026-15217-453/9/2026, 1:50:21 PM

Removed an image that seems highly edited and filtered to make the korean people look very light skin than they actually are . It didn't portray the real complexion of korean people who have naturally olive skin , and not as light as the the image portrayed.

This image made in 2005. Nowadays, it changed.
