Summary
Nintendo is a Japanese multinational video game company headquartered in Kyoto. It develops, publishes, and manufactures both video games and video game consoles. The history of Nintendo began in 1889 when craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi founded the company to produce handmade hanafuda playing cards. After venturing into various lines of business and becoming a public company, Nintendo began producing toys in the 1960s, and later video games.

Recent revisions
Removed Virtual Console and Nintendo Classics releases. These games are a singular brand with each software being a completely unaltered version of a product that is on here, making them indistinct from their original versions and thus are not a different product from the original. Their existence on the platforms are already documented on other pages, and Nintendo Classics especially has caused the page to be bloated and intensive to edit.
