Summary

On December 10–11, 2021, a significant and deadly tornado outbreak occurred across the Central United States. The tornado outbreak produced 71 tornadoes, with the bulk of the activity coming from a very long-tracked supercell that produced several very long-track and violent tornadoes, one of which was on the ground for almost 3 hours and traveled 165 miles (266 km) and killing 57 people.
