Summary
The Mohicans or Mahicans are an Indigenous people of the Northeastern Woodlands who spoke an Eastern Algonquian language. Historically, they were based in Upstate New York. Today, they are enrolled in the federally recognized Stockbridge Munsee Community in Wisconsin.
