Windows Media Player is a media player and media library organization software from Microsoft that plays audio and video in Microsoft Windows. It has been a component of the Windows operating system, also including Pocket PC and Windows Mobile. Microsoft also released editions of Windows Media Player for classic Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Solaris, but has since discontinued them.
