- Hill sphereEdited 5/24/2026, 7:11:32 AM
It generally goes without saying that stars are more massive than their planets and planets than their satellites.
- Regular moonEdited 5/24/2026, 7:06:37 AM
/* Formation */ I'm defeated, for apparently even astronomy prefers the ambiguous "Moon" over the clearer "Luna."
- Regular moonEdited 5/24/2026, 6:44:38 AM
/* Parent-satellite interactions */ Adjective misused as preposition corrected.
- Regular moonEdited 5/23/2026, 6:30:28 PM
/* Origin and orbital characteristics */ Point about tides added; point about unusually massive moons clarified; formal grammar amended.
- EdemaEdited 5/22/2026, 7:37:55 PM
Text improved. "Dropsy" placed before another names as a standard traditional name for this disease.
- Haast's eagleEdited 5/22/2026, 6:34:55 PM
/* Etymology */ “Haast’s eagle” (like, say, “leopard,” “koala,” “ginkgo”), is already a common, as against scientific, name, but it’s also been conventionalized.
- HuntingEdited 5/22/2026, 6:08:54 PM
/* Shooting traditions */ Ce; empty internal link discarded (but more plausible one left in place).
- Great aukEdited 5/22/2026, 5:52:30 PM
Passage tweaked for sake of prose style. This species’ large range, long historical susceptivity to hunting, being subject to attempts at legal stewardship, and obliteration prior to the industrial age make it worth mentioning human responsibility for its disappearance.
- Bird extinctionEdited 5/22/2026, 5:17:04 PM
Formal grammar improved. In particular, it’s clumsy to say that critically endangered birds will face extinction for critically endangered birds. (Alternatively, one might say something like, “For critically endangered birds, scientists foresee extinction….”)
- Geoff EmerickEdited 5/22/2026, 7:33:17 AM
That is, the producer, not merely the producer of the Beatles.
- ConfusionEdited 5/22/2026, 4:58:51 AM
It's unclear how one can be simply unclear. One can be unclear about something, but that doesn't particularly imply confusion.
- HypervitaminosisEdited 5/22/2026, 4:52:44 AM
Text improved. E.g., vague, unsourced claim about supplements “not always from natural sources” and “the mix of natural, derived vitamins and enhancers[?]” redacted. Also, A and D aren’t the only fat-soluble vitamins.
- Unintended consequencesEdited 5/21/2026, 8:31:54 AM
General examples added. Also, text improved (e.g., “luck” and “windfall” suggest blind chance, not necessarily a consequence of some purposive action, and even “serendipity” is doubtful; diseases often devastate health).
- Pole building framingEdited 5/21/2026, 5:54:49 AM
Points added and sources cited; text rearranged a little.
- Killing of Iryna ZarutskaEdited 5/20/2026, 6:16:43 AM
/* National */ Punctuation altered to U.S. standard.
- SnowEdited 5/19/2026, 7:24:26 AM
I’ve likewise just altered the WP articles on rain and hail, as I think it worthwhile to modify “precipitation” with “atmospheric.” However, I’ll now change the links from “atmosphere of Earth” to simply “atmosphere,” as such things can (potentially) form on other planets. Also, non-restrictive clause punctuated.
- HailEdited 5/19/2026, 7:18:38 AM
I’ve likewise just modified the WP article on rain, as I think it worthwhile to modify “precipitation” with “atmospheric.” Internal link also added.
- RainEdited 5/19/2026, 7:15:41 AM
To me, it seems worthwhile to modify “precipitation” with “atmospheric.” Also, calling something “a form… where” (as against “a form in which”) is too colloquial for an encylopedia.
- Clear iceEdited 5/19/2026, 6:58:24 AM
WP rime ice article lists clear ice as one form of rime. Lead put into more natural order. That clear ice “can form… as a precipitation that forms” is ungainly prose. “Beverage” is perhaps too much of an Americanism.
- Anika NillesEdited 5/19/2026, 5:01:03 AM
Ce. (Or "her backing band, Nevell," if the latter is that exclusive.)
- Fraudulent conveyanceEdited 5/19/2026, 4:25:00 AM
/* Overview */ Sentence was incomplete. Also, clarification of term.
- M3GANEdited 5/17/2026, 6:46:33 AM
/* Plot */ WP’s policy against original research is twice (once more than needed, I think) invoked in an editor’s notes in this edit page, warning that M3GAN isn’t shown to activate the camera and that no editor may read their own view to the contrary into this synopsis. So, why is the adverb “however” used here, when it reveals just such an assumption?
- Abraham OrteliusEdited 5/17/2026, 4:05:54 AM
/* Later maps */ There's no evident reason to use the given name here.
- Mainstream Science on IntelligenceEdited 5/16/2026, 10:22:20 PM
Clarifications:“[C]riticism of the book The Bell Curve by Richard Herrnstein and Charles Murray” suggests that Herrnstein and Murray were the critics, and “letter” is ambiguous. Also, “psychologist” is not a title.
- Urinary retentionEdited 5/16/2026, 6:45:27 PM
Point added and source cited; NIH citation needn't be repeated for each sequential claim.
- The Adventures of Tom SawyerEdited 5/16/2026, 7:03:22 AM
/* Summary */ Description improved in spots (e.g., the modern, rather bureaucratic “friend/classmate” sits uncomfortably in this synopsis of a nineteenth-century story taking place in and around a small town in preindustrial America; “her late husband” actually describes one no longer her husband, not necessarily late of the Earth, i.e., demised; if Tom and Becky face dehydration, then it’s understood that Becky becomes dehydrated in their ensuing time in the cave, especially when she weakens.)
- List of bootsEdited 5/16/2026, 5:44:21 AM
/* Equestrian boots */ More definitive name, and is given as paddock boot equivalent in WP Jodhpur boots article.
- Sonora Webster CarverEdited 5/16/2026, 4:52:19 AM
Carver's evaluation of feature film given a more natural placement, and article improved by encylopedic standards.
- Astronomical unitEdited 5/15/2026, 7:43:26 PM
/* Usage and significance */ Clarification, since this term has no WP article at present.
