In order to avoid competing classification schemes, we usually don't include taxoboxes on non-APG III articles. Otherwise it gets confusing when someone reads further up the ranks and the higher taxa keep changing

No. Those aren't berries. Should not be lead images. Again, this is about precision and accuracy. Competing definitions can be discussed, but the scientific definition should be primary. See also [[WP:BRD]]

Start with the botanical use. Less waffling that way. It's a precise definition related to the actual morphology and development, not a wishy-washy description with exceptions and "usually" in it

that's what these structures are called. This isn't the simple English wikipedia, and the items are linked sufficiently. Explanations for these terms are not necessary here as they can be understood from context
