In Dhaka, a terrible accident happened. A training jet from the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into a school. This happened in the afternoon when classes were in session. The jet, made in China, took off and then crashed into Milestone School and College. At least 19 people died, most of them students. Over 100 others were hurt, many with bad burns.

The government said it was a very sad day. They decided to have a national day of mourning. Flags would fly at half-staff all over the country. The military said the jet had a technical problem. They are still trying to figure out what went wrong.

At the school, it was a scene of panic. People rushed to help the injured. They used anything they could find to carry the hurt to hospitals. Parents were desperate, looking for their kids. The school buildings shook hard when the jet crashed. There was a big explosion, and students ran for their lives.

Other countries also reacted. The Prime Minister of India said he was very sorry. He offered help to Bangladesh. A student who was not at school when it happened said she was scared. She saw videos of the crash on TV. It was her school, and she could not believe it.
