The weather in Minnesota has been quite the rollercoaster this May.  One day it was scorching hot, with temperatures hitting 93 degrees in St. Cloud on May 11th.  Then, just a few days later, it was freezing, with a high of only 44 degrees on May 20th.  It is a good idea to be prepared for anything in Minnesota.

        The Climate Prediction Center has some insights for June.  It looks like Minnesotans can expect above-average temperatures.  In St. Cloud, the average high at the start of June is around 74 degrees, and by the end of the month, it usually hits about 82 degrees.  So, it's time to start thinking about summer clothes and maybe even a trip to the beach.

        The Weather Channel's long-range forecast is a bit more detailed.  It suggests that the first two days of June will be quite warm, but then temperatures will settle into the mid to upper 70s for the rest of the month.  This means that while it might start off hot, the weather will likely be quite pleasant and normal for most of June.

        Rainfall is another important factor to consider.  The Climate Prediction Center predicts that June will see average rainfall.  St. Cloud typically gets about four inches of rain during this month.  So, it's a good idea to have an umbrella handy, just in case.

        The Weather Channel's forecast for June 2nd gives a 50 percent chance of rain.  This is a reminder that even if the overall month looks dry, individual days can still be wet.  It's always smart to check the daily forecast.

        So far this year, St. Cloud has seen just above-normal rainfall.  This trend has held true for the spring season and the month of May.  This means that even if June seems dry, the year so far has been fairly wet.  It's interesting to see how weather patterns can vary from month to month.
