The way maternity care is usually given in wealthy nations is not always good enough for women who are in tough spots. HAAMLA midwives came up with a new way of giving care. They see vulnerability as something that is made by society. They work with the women and other groups to make care that fits each woman's needs. This is called co-production. It means working together to make something better.
