Danny Strong's journey in Hollywood is a story of transformation and success. Starting as an actor, Strong found his true calling in writing. He made a big impact with his script for  Recount, a film about the controversial 2000 presidential election in Florida. This script was so good it topped the Hollywood Black List. HBO turned it into an Emmy-winning TV movie, and Strong won a WGA award for his efforts.  He didn't stop there. He went on to create and run the hit series Dopesick for Hulu. This series shed light on the opioid crisis and the role of Purdue Pharma. It was a big deal, winning a Peabody and two Emmys, and was nominated for a bunch of other awards. Strong's work on Dopesick shows he's not afraid to tackle big, important topics.

        Strong's resume is packed with big names and projects. He co-created and was the executive producer of the Fox drama series Empire. He's also working on a classic Hollywood-era film with Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. He is also teaming up with Tony Kushner to write Ultra for Steven Spielberg, based on a podcast by Rachel Maddow.  Strong's work doesn't stop at TV and film. He has written multiple stage musicals and is eyeing Broadway runs for them. His work as a director started with Rebel in the Rye, which premiered at Sundance. He also scripted the hit movie The Butler and co-wrote parts one and two of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

        Strong's work is not just about entertainment; it's about making a difference. He tackles big issues like politics and social problems. Strong wrote the script on spec which was quickly taken off the market by LBI.  Strong is also working on Ultra with Tony Kushner for Steven Spielberg.

        Strong has also written multiple stage musicals including Galileo, and he wrote a new book to the musical Chess. Both shows are eyeing Broadway runs.
