They are more interested in self-discovery and personal growth.  This change in storytelling reflects a broader cultural shift.  People are questioning the traditional idea of marriage and family as the ultimate goal.  Even iconic figures like Barbie have undergone a transformation.  In 2023, Barbie's story took a new turn, rejecting the traditional romantic narrative she had been known for.  This change is part of a larger conversation about marriage and its role in society.

        Despite the shift in popular culture, marriage still holds a special place in many people's hearts.  Gallup polls show that married adults report higher levels of well-being compared to those who are single or in domestic partnerships.  Studies also indicate that married adults tend to be healthier, and their children often thrive.  Communities with more married couples also tend to have lower crime rates.  This suggests that marriage and family life can have a positive impact on individuals and society as a whole.

        The cultural narrative around marriage and family is complex.  While it is important to encourage independence and personal growth, it is also crucial to recognize the benefits of marriage and family life.  Offering a vision of lasting love and meaningful relationships can inspire young people to pursue these goals.
