People often talk about boys struggling in school. They say boys are falling behind girls. Some even blame female teachers for this. But is this really true? Let's look at the facts.

First, it's not new that girls get better grades. This has been happening for a long time. Even before women could vote, girls were doing better in school. So, why the sudden worry about boys now?

Some people think boys need male teachers to do well. But research doesn't support this. A study from 2021 found that female teachers actually help both boys and girls do better in school. So, the idea that boys need male teachers might not be true.

Also, the teaching force has been mostly female for over 100 years. But boys aren't failing. In fact, girls are finally getting the rewards they deserve, like going to college and earning equal pay.

Some people blame modern teaching styles for neglecting boys. But this might just be a myth. The idea persists because there's always a market for anti-feminist backlash. A mostly female teaching force makes an easy target.

Blaming female teachers might not be the right approach. It could make us ignore the real problems. Like the harassment that girls and their female teachers face. This is a problem that isn't going away.

Instead of blaming teachers, we should look for real solutions. We need to base our ideas on evidence, not just feelings. Only then can we find helpful solutions for boys and girls alike.
