France's Economic Minister, Eric Lombard, has hinted at a second round of measures. These could target U. S. tech companies and the services sector, not just goods. The goal is to level the playing field and protect all economic sectors. The EU wants to avoid a full-blown trade war. They are using these tariffs as a bargaining chip to get the U.
