Growing grapes in pots can be a fun project.  But it's important to know how often to spray them with phosphonate.  This is a chemical that helps keep plants healthy. Soil applications were also tested.  They found that this method resulted in lower overall uptake.  But there were still measurable residues in the grapes.  This suggests that soil applications might not be the best way to go.

The study raises some important questions.  For example, is it better to spray more often with a weaker solution or less often with a stronger one?  And how does the frequency and concentration of sprays affect the final product?  These are things to think about when growing grapes in pots.
