The Italian energy giant Eni has recently approved a new business structure aimed at amplifying the value of its subsidiaries, such as Plenitude and Enilive, and potentially exploring new partnerships and public listings. But what does this mean for the company's future? 

The new structure is divided into three main areas: the Chief Transition and Financial Officer structure, the Global Natural Resources structure, and the Industrial Transformation structure. The first structure, led by CFO and COO Francesco Gattei, will oversee the company's economic and financial strategy. This move is a clear indication that Eni is prioritizing financial stability and growth.

But what about the other two structures? The Global Natural Resources structure, headed by Guido Brusco, will integrate the company's technical, operational, and engineering capabilities, as well as its power generation and marketing business, and oil trading activities. This might lead to increased efficiency and better decision-making. 

However, the Industrial Transformation structure, led by COO Giuseppe Ricci, raises more questions. The goal is to restructure and transform Versalis, one of Eni's subsidiaries. What does this mean for the company's employees and the environment? Will this transformation lead to cost-cutting measures, or will it prioritize sustainability?
