This suggests that the effectiveness of the treatment is not dependent on gender.  The study also found that there was no significant difference in pain relief between laser therapy at acupuncture points and laser therapy directly on the molars.  This indicates that both methods are equally effective.  Both are more effective than the placebo treatment.
