The film "Die My Love" is a gripping tale of a woman's struggle with postpartum depression.  It is set in the wide-open spaces of Montana.  The story is based on a novel from 2017.  The film is directed by Lynne Ramsay.  Ramsay is known for her intense and personal style of filmmaking.  This is her first film since her 2017 Cannes screenplay winner.  Ramsay is looking for a distributor for this film.

        The lead role is played by Jennifer Lawrence.  Lawrence gives a powerful performance as a woman grappling with extreme anxiety and depression after giving birth.  Lawrence had her first child when she read the book.  She had her second child earlier this year.  Lawrence said that playing this role was emotionally taxing.  She had to separate her own experiences from those of her character.  Lawrence's character, Grace, is plagued by feelings of disappearing.  She struggles with her identity as a mother, wife, and creative person.  Lawrence was pregnant during the filming.  She said that her hormones were great, which helped her tap into the emotions of the role.

        Lawrence's co-star is Robert Pattinson.  Pattinson plays Jackson, Grace's boyfriend who struggles to help her.  Pattinson said that the filming environment was unusual but exciting.  Ramsay's direction was specific and sometimes unexpected.  For example, Ramsay decided to do a scene with no dialogue.  This made the actors feel alive and engaged.

        The film also stars Sissy Spacek, LaKeith Stanfield, and Nick Nolte.  Lawrence and Pattinson were asked about the hardest day on set.  Lawrence said that Ramsay gave specific direction for an early scene.  The scene involved Grace and Jackson in a naked sexual frenzy.  Ramsay showed them a scene from a classic British film to set the tone.  Lawrence said that this was her answer to the question about the hardest day on set.

        The film explores the isolating nature of postpartum depression.  Lawrence said that it's extremely isolating, no matter where you are.  She wanted to work with Ramsay since she saw "Ratcatcher. "  Lawrence and her production team sent the script to Ramsay a couple of years ago.  Ramsay agreed to direct the film.  Lawrence said that she couldn't believe she was there, working on this film.

        The film is a dark and intensely subjective drama.  It's a challenging role for Lawrence, but she said that it was worth it.  She said that having children changes everything.  It changes your whole life.  It's brutal and incredible.  Lawrence laughed and said that she highly recommends having kids if you want to be an actor.  She said that her children have changed her life for the best.  They've changed her creatively as well.
