The internet was buzzing with speculation this week.  Some people are convinced that Katy Perry's trip to space was a hoax.  The crew included Perry, Gayle King, and Lauren Sanchez, among others.  They blasted off from West Texas on Monday morning.  The mission was a big deal because it was the first all-female spaceflight in over 60 years.  The rocket took them just past the Karman Line, which is the edge of space.  They were back on Earth just 11 minutes later.

The skepticism started with a video.  In it, the crew opens the capsule's door from the inside.  Minutes later, Jeff Bezos is seen using a tool to open it from the outside.  This sparked a lot of questions.  Some people argued that the door can only be opened from the outside for safety reasons.  They pointed out that the capsule is pressurized, so it can't be opened from the inside.  Others noted that the rocket looked too clean to have been to space and back.

Social media was flooded with theories.  One user claimed it was a publicity stunt gone wrong.  They suggested that the crew opened the door inside, then Bezos staged a second, more dramatic opening from the outside.  Another user joked that the mission was faked by Bezos, whom they referred to as the "Overlord. "  The comments ranged from serious accusations to light-hearted jokes.

The video might have been a mix-up.  Maybe the crew opened the door inside for a quick photo op.  Then, Bezos opened it from the outside for a more polished arrival scene.  The order of events got mixed up, leading to the confusion.  It's also possible that the crew opened the door inside for safety reasons, and Bezos opened it from the outside for dramatic effect.

The mission was a significant milestone.  It was the first all-female spaceflight in over 60 years.  The crew included some of the most influential women in the world.  They spent about 11 minutes in zero gravity, floating around the capsule.  Photos showed them smiling and enjoying the experience.

The company behind the rocket did not comment on the speculation.  They might have been too busy celebrating the successful mission.  Or, they might have been trying to avoid the drama.  Either way, the internet will likely continue to buzz with theories.  Some people will believe the mission was real, while others will remain skeptical.
