A new plan is on the table. The United States has shared a proposal with Lebanon. The goal? Disarm Hezbollah and get Israeli troops out of Lebanon by the end of the year. This plan is being discussed right now. It's a big deal. It's the most detailed plan yet for taking weapons away from Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has been a powerful group in Lebanon. They have been backed by Iran. They have refused to give up their weapons. This has been a problem since a war with Israel last year. That war started when Hezbollah attacked Israeli positions. They did this to support Hamas, another militant group.

The U. S. plan has four main steps. First, Lebanon's government must promise to disarm Hezbollah by the end of 2025. Israel must also stop all military operations in Lebanon. This includes ground, air, and sea operations.

In the second step, Lebanon must start the disarmament process. The Lebanese army will take control of all weapons. Israel will start pulling troops out of Lebanon. Lebanese prisoners held by Israel will be released. This will happen with the help of the Red Cross.

In the third step, Israel will pull out of the last two positions it holds in south Lebanon. Money will be found to clean up rubble and fix infrastructure. This is to prepare for rebuilding.

In the final step, Hezbollah's heavy weapons must be dismantled. This includes missiles and drones. A big economic conference will be held. The U. S. , Saudi Arabia, France, Qatar, and other countries will support Lebanon's economy and reconstruction.

This plan is important. There have been many complaints about Israeli violations of the current ceasefire. These violations include airstrikes and cross-border operations. They could lead to a collapse of the fragile peace.

But will it work? Hezbollah has not commented on the proposal. The Lebanese government is discussing it. The U. S. State Department has not responded to requests for comment. It's a waiting game now.
