The Chicago Bears have been busy bolstering their offensive line. They recently signed Drew Dalman, a 26-year-old center, to a three-year, $42 million contract. This deal includes $28 million in guarantees, making Dalman the second-highest-paid center in the NFL.

        Dalman's performance with the Atlanta Falcons speaks volumes about his skills. He started 40 games over the past three seasons. In 2024, he missed eight games due to a high ankle sprain. During his absence, Ryan Neuzil stepped in. When Dalman returned, Atlanta's running back, Bijan Robinson, saw a dramatic improvement in his rush EPA, jumping from 3. 7 to 12. 7.

        Dalman's stats are impressive. In nine games, he allowed only 13 pressures, a 4. 8% pressure rate, and two sacks. He didn't commit any penalties. His size, 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, adds to his strength on the field. He was part of a cohesive Falcons offensive line that has been together for years.

        Dalman's journey to the Bears is noteworthy. He was drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. At Stanford, he started 22 of 25 games over four seasons. In his senior year, he didn't allow a single pressure, earning him first-team All-Pac 12 honors.
