This time, they're bringing a familiar face from their past projects—Alicia Silverstone, who played Batgirl in the 1997 film Batman & Robin. Silverstone will join Stone and Lanthimos seven years after they last worked together on the movie The Killing of a Sacred Deer. The new film, Bugonia, is based on a South Korean sci-fi comedy from 2003 called Save the Green Planet! . It's a story about two young men who believe a CEO is an alien planning to destroy Earth. Sounds like a fun ride!

This isn't the first time Lanthimos has reunited with actors from his previous films. He's known for working with the same group of actors, like Colin Farrell, Olivia Colman, and Willem Dafoe. Stone and Lanthimos have worked together on four films already, including The Favourite and Poor Things. Another actor from Lanthimos' past, Jesse Plemons, is also joining the cast. He starred in Kinds of Kindness and won an award at the Cannes Film Festival for his role.

What's interesting is that Silverstone's role in Bugonia is a mystery. We don't know who she'll play, but her past collaboration with Lanthimos suggests she'll make a memorable impact, just like she did in The Killing of a Sacred Deer. The script for Bugonia is written by Emmy winner Will Tracy, known for shows like Succession and The Menu.
