You might think that the Dallas Cowboys' search for their next head coach would be simple and straightforward. But, with owner Jerry Jones at the helm, you know there's going to be some twists and turns along the way. One name that's been popping up is Jason Witten, a former Cowboys tight end who's been coaching high school football for the past four years. Why Witten? Well, some people close to the Cowboys organization think he's the right man for the job, eventually.

 Jones has been known to drop big names when it comes to coaching searches. He's already been linked to coaching legend Deion Sanders and even the famous Bill Belichick. But what about Witten? He's been proving himself as a coach at the high school level, which might not seem like a big deal, but it's a start. Plus, he's got that Cowboys connection, which Jones seems to love.

 Let's not forget that Jones isn't afraid to make unconventional choices. Just look at what happened with the Indianapolis Colts and their decision to hire a high school coach. Could Witten be next? It's not out of the question. But is now the right time? That's the big question. Some think he might need a bit more experience, maybe even joining the staff for a while before taking the top job.

 Another possibility is that Jones could bring in a veteran coach like Pete Carroll, who could help groom Witten until it's time for him to take over. Regardless of what happens, Witten's name is likely to come up. It's all about building anticipation and keeping everyone on their toes.
