Jimmy Garoppolo is staying with the Los Angeles Rams.  He will continue to be the backup quarterback to Matthew Stafford.  This news came out on a Monday.         Garoppolo has played in 82 games over 11 seasons.  He has completed 67. 4% of his passes for 15, 828 yards with 96 touchdowns and 52 interceptions.  Garoppolo started his career with the New England Patriots.  He was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.  He backed up quarterback Tom Brady for three seasons.  The Patriots traded Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers in 2017.  He spent six seasons with the 49ers.  He completed 67. 6% of his passes for 13, 599 yards with 82 touchdowns and 42 interceptions.  Garoppolo spent one season with the Las Vegas Raiders before he was released last year.  He had two years left on his contract.
