Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney have a new addition to their family.  A source confirmed to People magazine that the Oscar-winning actress has quietly welcomed her second child.  The couple is already parents to a three-year-old son named Cy.  Lawrence and Maroney tied the knot in October 2019 at the Belcourt mansion in Newport, Rhode Island.  The actress's representative confirmed her second pregnancy to Vogue in October 2024, with rumors suggesting an early spring due date.  The couple has kept details about the baby's sex, name, and birth date private.  Lawrence's husband, Cooke Maroney, has been working as the art gallery director for Gladstone Gallery in New York City since 2022.

Lawrence has been open about her joy in motherhood.  In a 2022 interview with Vogue, she shared that the birth of her son Cy felt like a new beginning.  She described the euphoria of becoming a mother and how her heart expanded to include her husband and all babies.  Lawrence has been busy promoting her new film, Die My Love, which deals with the subject of postpartum depression.  The film, directed by Lynne Ramsay, is based on Ariana Harwicz’s 2019 novel and stars Robert Pattinson.  Lawrence's character in the film struggles with symptoms of postpartum depression and bipolar disorder.  The actress has been eager to take on this challenging role.  Lawrence and Maroney have been seen together in New York City, enjoying their time as a growing family.  The couple seems thrilled with their expanding family and the new addition.
