The converted Coastal Cafe now hosts Scullery Made, a place where giant sandwiches rule the morning and cocktails take over after four. The owner, who grew up in restaurants, chose Searsport for its cozy community feel and central location—not for crowds but for connection. Big, meaty sandwiches like Cubans and corned beef sandwiches stand out, along with homemade soups and breakfast options. The owner even makes brisket from scratch, planning to expand into other cured meats soon. The town’s comeback after heavy road construction also played a role—new businesses are popping up, but many still struggle. Searsport’s community support, not just foot traffic, made the difference. Hours are limited for now—Tuesdays and Wednesdays are dark days, but the owner dreams of daily service. With family living nearby and a menu built on tradition, this spot tries to balance quick eats and nightlife in a town rebuilding its heart.
