Christmas Weather: Will It Be Cold or Mild?

Winter has been harsh this year. Many places in the U. S. have seen record low temperatures and lots of snow. People were excited about the idea of a snowy Christmas. But, things might not go as planned. The Climate Prediction Center says temperatures will rise soon. Most of the country, except the northern and western areas, will see warmer weather by the end of December. This change is due to a high-pressure system moving eastward.Currently, the West is experiencing unusual warmth. As this system moves, the Midwest and Northeast will also get warmer. This could melt the snow in many places. So, the chances of a White Christmas are slim for most. Only higher areas like the Rockies and northern states might see snow. Cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D. C. haven't had a White Christmas since 2009. It looks like 2025 won't be any different. Weather patterns are unpredictable. While forecasts give an idea, they aren't always accurate. People should stay updated with local weather reports as Christmas approaches.
