As Hurricane Helene makes its way towards Florida, Walt Disney World is getting ready. While the storm won’t hit the parks directly, safety comes first. At Animal Kingdom, you might notice some outdoor snack spots closed and umbrellas tied down. Some attractions like Kali River Rapids are still running, but with shorter wait times. The park will shut down at 6 p. m.
Over at EPCOT, the flags at the entrance have already been taken down. You’ll see wet floor signs popping up and umbrellas closed tight. Shows like "Celebración Encanto" might get canceled, and the park will close by 9 p. m.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also being cautious. Umbrellas are secured with sandbags, so no outdoor shows like "Fantasmic! " today. The park will close at 9 p. m. too.
Across all parks, outdoor areas are being locked down. Some attractions and entertainment might not happen, so check the My Disney Experience app for updates.
