From Operator to Engineer: Berndt's Journey at Austin Utilities

Berndt's career at Austin Utilities has been a journey of growth and learning. Starting as a light equipment operator in 2012, he moved to the Engineering Department in 2018. This shift showed his ability to adapt and take on new challenges. He studied at Riverland Community College and has extra training in AutoCAD and other technical skills. He even went to a GIS Conference in St. Cloud. These experiences helped him become a skilled Engineering Services Technician.Berndt is not just about work. He gives back to the community by coaching youth hockey and baseball. He loves outdoor activities like snowmobiling in Wyoming and sports like hockey, baseball, hunting, and motorsports.
