Lucchese boots return to Santa Fe with fresh upgrades

Santa Fe Plaza, USAFri Jun 05 2026
The famous Lucchese boot brand has reopened its Santa Fe store after a three-month facelift. This location is one of their oldest and most important shops in the Southwest. Inside, customers now find new tools like a hat steamer for custom fits, an embossing machine, and a private area for designing custom boots. The company started in Texas in the 1880s when two Italian immigrants arrived in America. They sold their first boots in San Antonio and later expanded to Santa Fe in 1994. The current store moved to its present spot in 2012. Lucchese sells boots ranging from $245 to nearly $5, 000, with most products made by around 180 workers in El Paso before shipping out.
The renovated store now offers more than just boots. Shoppers can find cowboy hats, bags, and travel items. The best-selling women’s boot, the Priscilla style in off-white, costs about $1, 100. The brand plans to introduce special collections at select stores soon. During the grand reopening on Saturday from 2-6 p. m. , visitors can enjoy snacks, handmade local crafts, and even live art.
