Donovan's Reef is gearing up for another summer of beachside fun in Sea Bright. This Monmouth County spot has been a go-to since 1976, and it's easy to see why. With a private beach, an oceanfront tiki bar, and music that keeps the energy high, it's no surprise the place made USA Today's shortlist for best beach bars.The 2026 summer schedule mixes live bands and DJs, keeping things lively from May through September. Bands like The Polish Nannies and Hang Loose Band will spin tunes indoors at 6 p. m. , with DJs like Folino and DNYCE taking over at 10 p. m. Starting Memorial Day weekend, weekends get even louder with DJ sets at the outdoor bar beginning at noon. Beach access costs $10 on weekdays and $20 on weekends, with extra fees kicking in after 5 p. m. The private beach has lifeguards on duty from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. on weekends starting Memorial Day, then daily from June 24 until Labor Day. Hours expand too—opening at 9 a. m. during the summer peak.
