Zinc Media Takes “Stars of Science” Into a New Era
QatarWed May 27 2026
Zinc Media Group, a British company known for high‑profile TV projects, has been chosen to revamp the 18th season of “Stars of Science, ” a popular show that showcases Arab inventors and entrepreneurs. The partnership comes with a $6 million contract, marking Zinc’s first major entertainment deal in the Middle East.
Rather than simply continuing the existing format, Zinc plans a complete creative overhaul. The new version will weave artificial‑intelligence tools into the studio experience and refresh storytelling techniques to appeal to younger viewers.
Executive producer Andrea Hamilton, who has overseen hit shows such as “The Voice” and “Strictly Come Dancing, ” will guide the transformation. She says the goal is to deepen audience connection by adding more emotion, suspense, and narrative flair while keeping the core focus on innovation.
The updated series will be produced by Zinc’s Middle‑East label, The Edge, based in Media City Qatar. It will air in both Arabic and English, targeting 22 Arab markets and the worldwide Arab diaspora. Zinc Distribution will manage global sales and coordinate marketing across the region.
CMO Faye Jackson highlighted that this commission is a milestone for Zinc’s expansion into the Middle East. She emphasized the company’s ability to combine premium production, entertainment know‑how, and strategic communication under one roof.
With a portfolio that ranges from award‑winning documentaries to mainstream reality shows, Zinc brings diverse experience to the project. Its labels include Tern TV, Raw Cut, Brook Lapping, and several others that support creative content worldwide.
