New Korean Food & Fun Spots Opening Across Illinois

USA Midwest,Thu Mar 12 2026
A new wave of Korean‑style shops is rolling into the Midwest, with several fresh locations announced for Illinois. These stores blend food, music and photo‑opportunities into a single experience that invites visitors to pause, eat and play. The concept centers on a relaxed dining area where guests can try Korean‑fried chicken, build their own ramen in a “cook‑your‑own” bar and enjoy drinks from a boba machine. The shops also offer Korean convenience snacks, beauty items and a photo booth that lets shoppers snap pictures with themed frames or a ramen‑wall backdrop. The chain is owned by Able Solutions USA, based near Chicago. Its first Midwest outlet opened in Aurora in June 2025, sparking interest from locals who wanted a new cultural hotspot. The owners say the space is meant to be a place where people can linger for 30 minutes to an hour, cooking and exploring.
Looking ahead, the company plans to add more than 50 stores in five years, targeting malls, campuses and airports. About ten new sites are expected to open next year alone, with additional locations slated for 2026 in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nevada and even Ontario, Canada. In Illinois, the upcoming openings include Yorktown Center in Lombard, the University of Illinois Chicago, the University of Illinois Urbana‑Champaign, Hanover Park and Chicago O’Hare International Airport. These spots will bring the ramen‑bar vibe to a mix of shopping centers, university campuses and travel hubs. Customers can already find existing stores in several Illinois locations, though the exact list isn’t detailed here. The brand’s growth strategy shows a focus on high‑traffic areas where people can quickly drop in for food, fun and a touch of Korean culture.
