Rain or Shine, Halloween Fun Rolls On at Car Museum
Hickory Corners, USAFri Oct 24 2025
Rain did not stop the Halloween spirit at the Gilmore Car Museum. Families braved the wet weather to enjoy trunk-or-treat. The event was a hit, even with the cold and rain. Kids still had a blast.
The museum saw around 1, 500 kids by 6:30 p. m. This was fewer than usual but still impressive. The event ran until 7:30 p. m. Despite the weather, the mood was lively.
Nehemiah Woolley, a 14-year-old from Hickory Corners, loves this event. He has been coming for years. He enjoys the cars and the candy. His friends Caleb and Liam joined him. They all had fun, rain or not.
The museum had a community day before the trunk-or-treat. There were games, bounce houses, and half-price admission. This made the day even more special.
First responders and local businesses joined in the fun. They handed out candy and flashed their lights. The Augusta and Delton fire departments were there. So were the Barry Township and Prairieville police departments. Other groups like the K-Wings and Consumers Energy also participated.
Some people, like Shelby and Sam Kravens, were there just for the love of Halloween. They dressed as 1950’s diner workers. This was their fourth year at the museum. They don’t get many trick-or-treaters at home.
The museum will soon transform into a Winter Wonderland. Christmas lights will fill the campus. For more info, check their website.
