Nevada isn't the best place to raise a family. It's near the bottom of the list. Only three states are worse. This is what a recent study found.
The study looked at many things. It checked out family fun, health, safety, education, child care, affordability, and money matters. Nevada did okay in family fun. It ranked seventh in the nation. But it struggled in other areas.
Nevada was last in socio-economics. This means it has high divorce rates, low marriage rates, and a big wealth gap. It also has high unemployment and underemployment. Plus, people there tweet a lot about work stress. And many homes are being foreclosed.
The state also ranked low in affordability, education, and health. It's not a great place to raise kids if you care about these things.
Other states did much better. The top states are mostly in the East and Midwest. Massachusetts, Minnesota, and North Dakota are at the top. These states offer more opportunities and support for families.
So, if you're thinking about raising a family, Nevada might not be the best choice. It has its perks, but it also has big challenges. It's important to think about what matters most to you and your family.
