Some websites even feature similar-looking hoodies with misspelled brand names in their URLs. Lily's father, who has a background in finance and marketing, is proud of his daughter's achievement and now manages the business full-time.
Lily's journey into fashion started early. At 11, she launched a slime concoction product, giving her a crash course in social marketing. A Facebook group dedicated to the brand is filled with moms and grandmothers of young girls eager to get their hands on a Pink Palm Puff hoodie. The group often discusses the risk of ordering from scam sites. One parent shared her experience of ordering from a suspicious site and receiving a lower-quality purple sweatshirt, but her daughter was still happy with it.
Running a business at 17 isn't easy. Lily has had to switch to online school to manage her travel schedule and business demands. She plans to add more hoodie colors and launch a swimsuit line.
