Wayland's New Hangout: A Cafe, Store, and Event Space All in One

A new spot is coming to Wayland that combines shopping, dining, and events. It's called Terrain, and it's part of the URBN family, which also owns Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People. This place is set to open next summer and will be located where the old Whole Foods Plaza used to be. The new location will have over 8, 700 square feet of indoor space. It can hold up to 178 people for weddings and up to 250 for corporate events. There will also be a cafe and a store selling garden, home, and outdoor items. This is not the first event space for Terrain. They already have four other locations in Pennsylvania.The person in charge of sales and marketing, Brianna Alcorn, thinks this new spot will be a great addition to the Greater Boston area. She believes it will be a nice escape from the city, just 20 minutes away. When looking for places to set up, Terrain looks for areas with lots of people, good transportation, hotels, and florists. Alcorn also mentioned that Terrain likes to give old buildings new life. She thinks it's important to reuse spaces that have been sitting empty. This is good for the environment and gives the building a new purpose. Terrain plans to start hiring after the holidays. Alcorn said there will be many job opportunities available. This new spot in Wayland seems like it will be a great addition to the community, offering a place for people to shop, eat, and celebrate special moments.
