The fifth season of Law & Order: Organized Crime kicked off with a bang, literally. The premiere episode left viewers on the edge of their seats with a shocking car crash involving Elliot and a young girl. The second episode, "Dante's Inferno, " kept the drama high, with Bunny in critical condition and Elliot in a coma. The hospital was filled with the Stabler family, and even Mariska Hargitay made an appearance, stepping away from her role in SVU to visit.

Amidst all the tension, there was a moment of unexpected humor. Randall Stabler, the eldest brother, tried to flirt with Olivia Benson. This wasn't your typical romantic scene. Randall, standing over his comatose brother, offered to cook Benson some of his "world-famous" brisket. It was a bizarre and awkward moment, but it was exactly what Elliot needed to wake up from his coma.

Dean Norris, who plays Randall, had some interesting things to say about this scene. He found it hilarious, especially since it was written by Christopher Meloni, who plays Elliot. Norris pointed out that Randall isn't exactly smooth with the ladies. His go-to move? Offering to cook them brisket. It's not the most romantic gesture, but it's certainly memorable.

The episode was a mix of tragedy and humor, which is a signature of the show. It was also Christopher Meloni's first writing credit, and he did a great job balancing the heavy moments with some lighthearted ones. The brisket scene was a perfect example of this. It was a weird and unexpected moment, but it was exactly what the show needed to keep viewers engaged.

The episode ended with Elliot waking up, thanks to Olivia's cole slaw. It was a sweet moment, and it left viewers hoping for more interactions between the Stabler family and Benson.
