On a Tuesday, DoorDash made headlines by announcing two big purchases.

SevenRooms specializes in helping merchants boost in-store sales and strengthen customer relationships.  It does this by using its customer relationship management and guest experience tools.  These tools will now be integrated into the DoorDash Commerce Platform.  SevenRooms will continue its mission to help restaurants and hospitality operators deliver exceptional guest experiences.  It will also gain access to DoorDash's scale, resources, and global reach.

So, what does this mean for the future of food delivery?  Well, DoorDash is clearly expanding its reach and capabilities.
