Over 2. 7 million adults, aged 18 and above, are part of this study, providing a wealth of information including their medical history, lab results, medications, and healthcare usage.

From 2011 to 2021, data has been collected from 140, 042 people who were newly diagnosed with cancer, and 2, 591, 963 people who do not have cancer. This diverse group allows researchers to explore early symptoms, unexpected findings, and how other health issues impact cancer diagnoses. By using a wide range of medical data, researchers can perform detailed analysis and adjust for factors that might influence the results.

The main goal of STEADY-CAN is to enhance our understanding of the early stages of cancer detection.
