A few replies follow, saying thanks and wishing everyone a great end of summer. Then, more messages appear, sharing links to sports programs and asking about the first day of school.

Soon, these groups become a constant source of notifications. At any given time, a parent might be part of around 10 different groups. Some are permanent, like those for each child's class or sports teams. Others pop up as needed, like groups for birthday parties or school events.

These groups cover a wide range of topics. They discuss kids' schedules, homework, carpools, and even teacher gifts. Messages can be simple reminders, like a weather update for drop-off. But sometimes, they can be a bit too much, with passive-aggressive comments that make you want to screenshot and share with a smaller, more private group.

It's a lot to keep up with, but it's also a way for parents to stay connected and organized. It's a digital version of the schoolyard chat, but with more notifications and less face-to-face interaction.
